Mighty Kingdom (MKL) has announced that its contractual partnership with Mattel has been extended until 2022.

Terms of the contract with Mattel were not disclosed, but Mighty Kingdom said the terms are significant in terms of the company’s work for rental income.

The contract extension will allow Mighty Kingdom to continue developing the “Barbie Fashion Closet” mobile game based on the “Barbie doll” franchise which is available on Apple IOS and Android devices.

“Mattel’s Barbie brand is one of the most iconic toy brands in the world and a favorite of many on our development team,” said Mighty Kingdom Managing Director and CEO Philip Mayes.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Mattel on Barbie Fashion Closet and exploring new opportunities with them in the future.”

In the game, players are allowed to style Barbie and her friends with outfits from Barbie Extra! and the Barbie Fashionistas lines. Barbie fans can express their creativity endlessly, with multiple hair and makeup options, and hundreds of clothes to complete any look.

This contract extension comes two weeks after Mighty Kingdom launched its hit “Conan Chop Chop”, which is also its first console game.

Shares of MKL were flat at market close, trading at 13.5 cents per share.
