Jefferey Dean Morgan Set to Star in Producer Joe Carnahan’s New FELIX Horror Movie – GeekTyrant
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (The Haunting of Bly Manor ) are set to star in a new horror-thriller titled Felix, which is being produced by director Joe Carnahan (Level Boss, Smokin’ Aces, The Gray). The movie revolves around a creepy haunted ventriloquist doll.
The story follows “Charlie and his best friend Jimmy who make a movie and dream of becoming big Hollywood directors. When Charlie’s father finds an old ventriloquist doll named Felix among his late mother’s belongings, Charlie and Jimmy make a the doll the creepy antagonist.Through an increasingly sinister and disturbing chain of events, the family discovers that Felix has a mind of his own and it’s up to Charlie and Jimmy to rid their family of a disturbing force. Sales will continue on the Cannes market next month.
Ventriloquist dolls are scary as hell. Since I saw this episode of The twilight zone when I was a kid, “The Dummy,” those things scared me. Looks like it will be a fun and scary horror movie! Highland Film Group Chief Operating Officer Delphine Perrier describes Felix as “Super 8 meets Child’s play.”
The film will be directed by John Kissack (eternal fall) from a screenplay written by Casey Giltner. Filming for the film will begin in the spring in Winnipeg, Canada.
