Accused con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar gave expensive gifts to Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, which included bags from luxury brands such as Gucci, Chanel and luxury cars, the Enforcement Directorate said. law investigating a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore.

ANI, the ED filed the indictment in the case which indicates that during the investigation, Fernandez and Fatehi revealed in their statements that they had received expensive gifts from the accused Chandrashekhar.

In her statement to ED, Fernandez said she received three designer bags, two pairs of diamond earrings, three bracelets from the accused con artist, as well as a Mini Cooper, which she returned.

“During the investigation, statements from Jacqueline Fernandez were recorded on 08/30/2021 and 10/20/2021. According to the report, the actress further stated that the accused had organized private jet trips and her hotel stay on several occasions.

The ED prosecution also named Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, who was also questioned by the agency in the money laundering case. The change sheet stated that the accused Chandrashekar had offered a BMW car to Fatehi in December 2020. The said BMW Car-S Series was registered in the name of Mehboob Khan.

Fatehi, in her statement which was registered under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 on September 13 and October 14, said she had secured a booking for a charity event and during At the event, Leena Maria Paul, wife of Chandrashekhar, gave her a Gucci bag and an iPhone.

Paul then put Chandrashekhar as the speaker where he thanked her and told Fatehi that they were her fans and told her that they wanted to give her a BMW as a token of love and generosity.

In the indictment, the ED further stated that, while in police custody, the accused Chandrashekhar admitted to offering a BMW – S series car to Fatehi, which was registered in the name of Bobby Khan at his request.

The ED, a financial investigation agency, recently arrested them under the PMLA as part of the extortion racket that was being staged from a Delhi prison. Two co-defendants Pradeep Ramdani and Deepak Ramnani were also arrested by the ED just in case.

According to ED, during the investigation, searches were carried out at various locations linked to Chandrashekar and his associates. During the search, 16 high-end vehicles were seized under section 17 of the PMLA and these cars are either on behalf of Leena Maria Paul’s companies or on behalf of third parties.

Patiala House Court recently learned of the ED indictment sheet filed against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, Leena Maria Paul and others in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case. The court asked the ED to provide a copy of the indictment to all defendants in the case.

All the accused are currently in judicial detention.
